Jesse A. Hartman is the co-owner and director of Hartman Tutoring, a mentorship and test prep company located in his hometown of Manhattan. He has worked side by side with countless employees and students, acting as a guide, adviser and instructor for over fifteen years. Nationally recognized for excellence in prose by The Scholastic Writing Awards, and a published poet by the age of fifteen, Jesse has a fierce passion for writing, though not in the third person, about himself, like he is doing right now.

His 2015 book, A View of You, was followed by If It's Not From Within, It's Without, in 2019, with multiple academic and general resource publications to follow. His writing and public lectures cover a wide array of topics – education, language, child development, philosophy, parenting, executive functioning, adult learning, motivation and test-taking – but generally focus on building a connection between personal meaning and results, using truth as the bridge.
Jesse is also an accomplished poet and lyricist, gaining such accolades as Lyricist of the Year (2011 Underground Music Awards), and being featured in dozens of publications, including The Village Voice, XXL Magazine, and MTV.com. His albums have been sold all around the world (P/K/A Jesse Abraham), and his music videos have amassed more than 50,000 views on YouTube.
Jesse graduated magna cum laude from Emerson College with a degree in Communications, and is currently pursuing his M.S. in Education from Bank Street College. He has also many years of experience as a public speaker/performer, having delivered talks and presentations at various schools and venues throughout New York City. Jesse has created the See-Know-Do™ method of problem-solving, for anyone who wants to learn to become a more effective thinker and troubleshooter.
