IF IT'S NOT FROM WITHIN, IT'S WITHOUT

Blue and Pink Simple Bordered Typography Book Cover_edited.jpg

This book entails the perspectives my students have gained, the methods by which they have attained these perspectives, and many of the exercises and lessons they have been asked to tend to over the years. But mostly, it’s a book about you. I wrote it for you. I think you'll enjoy it.

No matter one’s age or background, everyone is capable of establishing a stronger sense of functionality, leading to an increase in productivity and fulfillment. It’s a process that is actually easier, and possibly even more enjoyable, than it may sound.

By emphasizing personalized incentive, regulation and meaning, If It's Not From Within, It's Without provides a clear path towards helping readers understand who they are, why they do the things they do, and how to maximize functionality, from the inside out. The book uses case studies as models, and provides simple tips and adjustments that can improve the mindset and output of any reader, based on both empirical and anecdotal evidence.

This book helps readers of all ages perform at their personal peaks, on both a micro and macro level. The conventional approach to executive functioning, focusing on organization and logistics, will be considered. Aspects of neurology and sociology, as they relate to functionality, are also discussed. An inside-out perspective is emphasized, exposing the notions of value, reflection and connection as the foundations of our ability to thrive as lifelong learners, critical thinkers and productive members of society.

By utilizing an approachable and occasionally humorous tone, the book's voice is able to relate to readers, and the information presented is therefore highly accessible. Moments of poignancy are paired with levity, technical terms are expressed in a digestible fashion and the educational elements are discussed in a generally enjoyable manner. If It’s Not From Within, It’s Without often feels like a conversation between the author and its readers, but more importantly between readers and themselves.
